Kids Sewing Camp (Ages 7-13)
This camp series is designed to give new students a full orientation on sewing machine skills and basic sewing construction; they would then be ready to continue developing new skills and techniques in future sewing classes or under the supervision of an experienced adult sewer. Students will then be ready to enjoy the creative freedom to choose their sewing projects. During camp you will learn sewing basics to get you started . You will make other fun projects too – beginner level projects in any category, like room decorations, pillows, skirts, stuffed animals, and more!
CLASS SCHEDULE: M-F 10am cst – 2pm cst
WHAT TO BRING: We provide everything! All supplies, tools & sewing machines! No need to buy anything, no rental fees. However, if you do have your own sewing machine, we strongly encourage you to bring it. This will allow you the opportunity to learn using the same machine that you will use at home. 😊
IMPORTANT: Kids should bring snacks/drinks everyday if they choose. PLEASE LABEL ALL WATER BOTTLES, LUNCHBOXES, AND BACKPACKS!
WHAT YOUR KIDS WILL LEARN: Kids will learn Intro to sewing, safety practices, and all sewing machine basics. Each week you will have a new project to work on. A list of the projects we will work on will be sent to all parents through our parent portal closer to camp dates. Not all projects will be completed or offered in a single week but we do our best to make everything!
PANDEMIC SAFETY PROTOCOL: Face masks are optional. All kids with a cough are required to wear a face mask. Hand Sanitizer is available.
